What the Scheme Covers
The Accident Compensation Scheme provides cover for workers and the wider population for specific accident-related situations under the ACC mandate.
Workers Covered 24 Hours
The scheme covers workers against work-related and non-work-related accidents occurring in Samoa, 24 hours daily.
Workers Overseas
Workers who are away overseas on business related to their employment in Samoa may also be covered under the scheme.
Specified Conveyance
The scheme covers the whole population for accidents occurring in Samoa involving motor vehicles and sea vessels propelled by an engine.
Scheme Coverage
The Accident Compensation Scheme covers workers against work-related and non-work-related accidents occurring in Samoa 24 hours daily, and workers who are away overseas on business related to their employment in Samoa.
The scheme also covers the whole population against accidents occurring in Samoa by motor vehicle and sea vessel propelled by an engine, collectively referred to in the Act as specified conveyance.
